Season of Angels

One of the hardest things to do in life is saying goodbye to the people who you shared a special bond with. The people who you told your most deepest secrets to without worrying about them “spilling the beans” to the entire world. The people who made you smile and laugh uncontrollably when moments before you were in a fog of frustration and wasn’t sure if you could carry on much longer. The people who listened to your story without judgement or interruption. The people who made you feel like you found a piece of tranquility in this chaotic world that we live in. The people that you’re thinking about right now and every second of the day. When we meet people like this, I like to refer to it as a “Season of Angels”.

I believe that God sends angels down during certain times in our lives to either teach us, humble us, or just be a source of comfort in troubling times. Once the angels have done their job, they return back to heaven for their new assignments. Have you ever wondered why you suddenly lost all contact with that friend you were so close to? It’s like they disappeared off the face of the earth. Well, maybe they did. They were only sent into your life for a season. God blessed us with an amazing brain that can do wondrous things that even the most brilliant scientists and decades of research can’t explain. Our brain has the ability to replay memories over and over again like a movie. These memories give us joy when the “Season of Angels” is over and we can no longer be physically in their presence. We must remember what the season taught us and how it made us feel. Don’t worry! As you go on with your life, you will encounter new seasons and new angels waiting to brighten up your existence.

Hebrews 13:2 – Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
